It was started in the year 2012 known as project Boond. Under this aspect of Aashayein, we have collaborated with the Watershed Organisation Trust, we build wells, check-dams, tankers and handpumps in these villages. We've made significant progress under this aspect. So far we have built 18 wells, constructed 3 check-dams, deployed 10 water tankers, and installed 7 hand pumps.
GAZAB MAHARASTRA
Started in 2012 as *Gazaab Maharashtra*. We educate the youth in villages about *entrepreneurship and business studies for a week*. We also fund the best ideas with *seed capital* to help them initiate their start-ups. We have empowered entrepreneurs and fostered education by providing seed capital to over *60+ entrepreneurs*, enabling them to turn their innovative ideas into thriving start-ups and create positive impact in their communities.
Liter of Light
The aspect of light was started in 2016. We used to collaborate with an organisation called Liter of Light, and have recently collaborated with Solaron. We build and install solar powered community street lights, study lamps and house lights for the residents. We have brought radiant change to 4 tribal hamlets with sustainable lighting solutions. This beacon of hope has not only brightened homes but also transformed communities, fostering a safer, more productive, and enlightened future for generations.
Pankh
*Project Pankh* was started in *2018*. We have distributed *re-usable sanitary kits* for women and build *community toilets* in the villages. We conduct *workshops* with the villagers teaching them the importance of hygiene and sanitation. We have promoted sanitation and hygiene in *8 villages* by distributing *sanitary pads* to women, building *4 community toilets*, and conducting *workshops* on best practices. These initiatives aim to improve health, dignity, and well-being in the community.
